In an article in CFO Asia, it was said that CFO should not spend more than 20% of his time to accounting related responsibility.
I think it is correct CFO's should not spend more time in accounting
rather focus on Policy Enforcement, Risk Management, Recording and Reporting, Stakeholder, Managing, Financial Analyst, Capital/Funding Optimizing, Strategic Planning

That sounds reasonable. The CFO's role should focus on strategy, risk and so on. That's what makes it such a difficult and important job. Accounting and related tasks should mostly be delegated.
